FLAIR of Frankfurt: Award-winning eye-catcher in the city centre
Frankfurt am Main stands for modern architecture, like no other German city. One particularly noteworthy property is the "FLAIR of Frankfurt", which won the Iconic Award for "Innovative Architecture" in 2019, the year it was completed.
The project by the architectural office Hadi Teherani started in 2015 on the former site of the "Frankfurter Rundschau", which had been unused for almost ten years.
It exemplifies the principle of revitalizing central quarters through mixed use: Hotel, apartments, gastronomy and retail find space on more than 42,000 m² and form a kind of extension of the main shopping street Zeil. Three-dimensional facade elements vary according to the respective intended purpose of use and were developed "consistently from the ground plan".
The 57 luxury apartments have been equipped to a high standard down to the last detail. In the bathrooms, the TECEsquare WC flush plate ensures an elegant, modern look and ease of use.
